Internet Business Setup

Your research and preparatory work is all done.  Your website is up and running and your product is all set to go. Your email account and autoresponder are in place. So, where do you go from here? The next step is fairly obvious, we need people to come and read our sales material. It’s time to begin promoting our website, because, fairly obviously, no visitors means no sales.

Without a marketing strategy your sales letters will remain largely unread and your products will remain unsold. A marketing strategy could involve any of the following options: 1. Pay-Per-Click Advertising; 2. Article Marketing; 3. Classified Advertising; 4. Email Marketing.

Each of your products will require the following:

An article of about 400 – 600 words for posting on ezine sites

A short advert of just 15 words or so

A slightly more substantial advert of about 50 words

A selection of around 30 or 40 researched Keywords

Half a dozen auto responder messages

Two or more free bonus products related to your niche

Then take action

Create your opt-in form on your website and link it to your autoresponder. Use one of your free bonus items as an incentive to visitors to subscribe. Load your 6 email messages into your autoresponder and programme them to be sent out as required. An effective sequence would be No.1 – immediately; No.2 three days later; the 4 remaining messages should then go out weekly until you reach the end of your sequence. The second of your bonus items could be sent out with the third email. Thank you pages and/or download pages should be set up and tested.

Submit your article to Ezine Articles and any other ezine sites you choose. Use the keywords you have selected to make this article keyword rich in order to get the attention of the search engines, but don’t overdo it. You are writing first and foremost to catch the attention of the reader rather than the search engines. Do ensure that your resource box is included complete with a live link to your website or sales page. Further promotion can include PPC advertising and classified ads, either online or in newspapers and magazines. With the latter always ensure that your weblink is correct.

Once everything is set up, test regularly to gauge response and to ensure that all links are working properly. Submit more articles and post more ads. If you have done your research and preparation well you should now have a profitable business which can be further developed by going through the above process with each new product or service you offer.
