One of the quickest ways to start generating income on the internet is to create your own products. Given that most transactions in online marketing are in the realm of information products, there is no reason why you can’t put such products together yourself. Affiliate products can be a great and convenient source, as can E-books and other downloadable media created by others, but doing it all yourself is not only financially very appealing but also very satisfying. There is the added attraction that you keep 100% of the profits.
I listened to a CD a couple of years ago on which a group of experienced and successful entrepreneurs outlined how they could create a hot selling product in just one day. Obviously, sitting down to write an E-book on a topic close to your own heart is probably the way most people would try to attempt this. This particular group, however, came up with several other ideas which I found quite appealing.
One of the popular ideas within the group was to take an on-the-spot survey on some issue related to a particular niche. They suggested sending out an email to a list with just a few short and easy to answer questions on it. By promising that they would publish all responses complete with an acknowledgement and a website link (if the responder had one) they would get a pretty good and quick response. All these responses would then be simply gathered together under a suitable title to make a sizeable E-book. As the responses would arrive by email it would be the simplest job in the world to just copy and paste into a single document. In no time at all they would have a very significant product to sell.
If you don’t feel able to write fluently enough to write your own E-book, there is always Outsourcing. A bit of research on the internet will reveal many people available to do your writing for you for a very small fee. Ghost writing has been an accepted way for many, many years for well-known personalities to ‘write’ their autobiographies. Some of the celebrities I see on TV promoting their books amuse me greatly. Perhaps I’m being a little bit facetious here, but some of them I would doubt could even hold a pen, let alone write with it. Have a good look around the internet and you will find all kinds of specialist skills being offered for the price of a pint or two.
As with the CD to which I listened, another suggestion was to interview established marketers, record the interview and sell it, either as a download or as a CD. Since the time that CD was produced, this is an area where technology has developed massively. New technology allows good recordings to be made over the phone and even, by the use of SKYPE, video recordings too. So we now have the options of CDs, DVDs and digital downloads
Once you have a website set up and linked to an Autoresponder, these kinds of products will go on selling on autopilot for many years to come. So it is possible to create (or have created for you) products which are genuinely your own, which cost very little in terms of time or money and which will continue to generate income for you well into the future. If you promote your product using the various ways available to advertise products for nothing (or almost nothing) the world of internet marketing is your oyster.
