Niche Article Marketing

There was a time in the early days of internet marketing when search engines were only interested in keywords. Those days are now long gone. The two issues which seem to be of most importance now are activity and quality. This is in one sense a good thing as it has brought about an improvement in the value of much of the website content and removed much of the second-rate material which used to float around masquerading as valuable material. From a marketer’s point of view that has increased the pressure to always produce quality; – quality in website content, quality in products for sale, even quality in free bonus items.

With the situation as it now stands, how can we get our sites noticed, either as part of our list building or as part our sales campaigns. One very successful method of establishing our web presence with quality content is by the writing of articles.  This is particularly helpful as it provides the content that the search engines are looking for. It gives us the opportunity to provide helpful information to our potential customers whilst, at the same time, impressing  the search engines and get us noticed.

Niche marketing can be defined as marketing that is designed to meet the needs of a small group of individuals (a niche), rather than providing information for the masses. For example, a Morgan car owner, a player of Northumbrian Smallpipes or a brass rubbing enthusiast might be considered to belong to niche markets. For these topics, many of the more traditional ways to promote products are unlikely to be particularly successful.

Writing niche articles and submitting them to ezines or forums, as well as including them in your own blog site will make them available to search engine queries. The articles should be of a particular interest to the niche customer.  They would contain valuable information that the niche customer cannot find anywhere else. When your potential customers find one of your articles, assuming that it is well written, they will wish to know more. They will search for other articles or specialist information with your name on it.

The secret to gaining web presence through articles is to always provide quality in your writing. Each article should be brimming with useful information. Demonstrate to your reader that you really are an expert in your niche.  Give the reader a real desire to learn more of what you have to say on the subject.  The only way you can create such a burning desire is to always provide quality information.

Quality, well-written, informative articles are the key to niche marketing in today’s internet marketing environment.  By adding a link in the resource box at the end of an article you will find traffic arriving on your website and sales pages in droves.
