Spring Online Business

“Spring is sprung, the grass is riz,

I wonder where the birdies is?

They say the bird is on the wing; but that’s absurd!

Because, you see, the wing is on the bird!”

According to the meteorologists, today, 1st March, is the first day of spring. Other sources take the Spring Equinox on 21st March as the actual day when the seasons change. Neither is actually of any real use if the weather doesn’t match it, – which is usually the case in the UK. It is when the clocks change (which this year is 26th March), when I feel that winter is finally behind us. Having the longer lighter evenings gives me the feeling that the day has three halves instead of the usual two.

Whenever you personally feel that spring is finally here, this is a time of year when most people feel a surge of optimism and renewed vigour. In the business of internet marketing it is a very good time to plan and/or launch a brand new venture. Marketers feel uplifted by the imminence of warm days and summer sunshine as do our potential customers who are likely to be in a much more receptive frame of mind than at other times in the year.

It has been said that the best times to promote business opportunities are in September, when many people are getting back to work after their summer holidays, or in January, when they are getting back to work after the Christmas break. At that stage many feel disenchanted with their work and their 9 to 5 employment and are looking for a way to break free. This is probably true but it is rather negative. It is much better if people respond to new opportunities for positive reasons as “joie de vivre” is coursing through their veins.

So, take advantage of this time when you feel good and your potential customers are also feeling good. Dig out the plans you made a few weeks ago for a new product and get to work on finally creating it and planning your campaign. Dust off the half-finished set of articles you had begun before the Christmas season took over, complete them and get them posted. Revisit the rebranding of the DVD set which you had started to dabble with on a cold, dark night in early January. Now is the time to grasp the nettle and bring these projects out into the light and really go to town.

Longer days give more daytime hours for work and more evening hours to enjoy. Thought and planning can be done best whilst going for a healthy walk. Fitness of mind and body are dependent upon one another to a very large degree. The composer, Ludwig van Beethoven, used to walk miles whilst seeking inspiration for his masterpieces. He carried a notebook in which he would jot down his ideas which he would then work on after returning home. I often find I do much of my best thinking and planning whilst walking rather than sitting in my study at my computer, staring at a blank screen.

Make the most of this motivating time of year in both your personal life and in your business life. If you wish to know more about the business of internet marketing please CLICK HERE. It is an uplifting season, a time when our energy levels increase after the winter and optimism abounds. That is just as true of our potential customers as it is for us. Happy Springtime!
