Value for Money

For an internet marketer, offering value for money is an essential part of the business. I have written on aspects of this issue before because it is an aspect of our business which simply cannot be ignored. The successful internet marketers will always under-promise and over-deliver. Anyone who runs an online business and treats his or her customers purely as a source of income is unlikely ever to take the business to the highest level. Of course, customers provide us with our means of living but there is much more to a marketer-customer relationship than that.

It is a much quoted axiom in the internet marketing world that our job as marketers is to provide answers for people with a particular problem or desire. In order to achieve that successfully we need to think in terms of building a relationship with our customers so that they come to trust us as reliable suppliers of what they need. They will then treat us as their first port of call when needing something within our niche. So, avoid the temptation to become one of those online sellers who is more interested in lining their own wallets than providing a high quality service and top value for money.

It has become the norm in the field of internet marketing to offer a free bonus with every offer. Whether the product is a physical one or a digital download makes no difference. The bonus will often be digital whether the main product is digital or not. These products are easy to source and, obviously, no postage and packing is involved so they are very easy to deliver. However, despite costing the customer nothing, they must still be high quality items which enhance the value of the purchase being made. These can often complement the tangible product being bought, adding greatly to the value.

Apart from being good business from a relationship building point of view, such items can encourage potential customers to buy. Whatever the price of the main item a quality bonus item can make the customer feel that they are being treated well and take up our offers

For those who subscribe to an opt-in list it is important that they feel the benefit of joining the list. They should be provided with interesting, quality information in one form another free of charge so they feel the benefit of remaining on the list. If any subscriber feels they are being taken for granted or, worse still, being ignored they will be searching for the unsubscribe link.  You want them to remain happily on your list so they are there when you do have an offer to put to them. So, in a sense, we offer value for money even when we are making no charge.

The bottom line is, if you offer real value for money to your customers, they will keep coming back.  It is far better to have a customer who is happy to buy from you again and again than have to go fishing in the cold market every time you have something to sell.
